Bracknell Hornets forward Danny Hughes will be taking a step back from Coaching for the Hornets and is going to concentrate his coaching efforts on the BIHC U20s age group for the rest of the season. Like the Hornets he has done a fantastic job with these guys, training, developing them and preparing them for senior hockey. Not to mention constantly scouting for future talent. He will continue to play a major role in the Hornets but unfortunately due to the increased demands of his new job outside of hockey will no longer have the time this season to coach the Hornets as well.
At BIHC we are very fortunate to have some of the best coaches in the country already at hand. I am pleased to announce that Mark Saunders has agreed to join the Hornets and together with Carl they will continue to develop and build on the strengths already put in place this season. Many of you will know Mark as he has played for and coached the Hornets in the past. Marks professional, no nonsense attitude and attention to detail is second to none, he achieves loyalty and gets the highest standards possible from his players. He is a coach that brings with him a huge wealth of experience and success as a coach and previously as a player. He has coaching experience at some of the highest levels in the country and is very well respected throughout the sport.
