Josh Returns for the New Season

Bracknell Hornets Head Coach Mark Saunders, announces the return of 20 year old forward, Josh Ealey-Newman to The Hive for the 2019/20 Season.

Josh has been with the Bracknell Hornets since 2016 having played 26 games with 2 pucks in the net, assisting to 3 and only sitting for 6 penalty minutes. Josh has then continued playing in Bracknell having again played 25 games with us in the 2017/18 Season, putting 31 pucks in the net and assisting to 14 and sat for 22 penalty minutes. Josh also played with the Bracknell Bees for 12 games on a 2 way contract, scoring 3 goals and assisting to 2.

Last season Josh iced for 28 games with the Hornets with 19+15 along with 46 minutes clocked up in penalty minutes.

Josh Ealey-Newman said “I can’t wait to get back in the black and gold of the Hornets this season, it's great to be able to play for your home town team. I'm excited to see what the boys can achieve this year, the challenges it will bring and I'm ready to get going. I can’t wait to get back on the ice and play in the new league structure and I look forward to meeting all of my new team mates and kicking off another season for me at the Bracknell Hornets.”

Head Coach Mark Saunders says “Josh is an integral part of the team we are building here at the Hornets, he's a 'glue guy' who can bring team mates together with his work ethic as well as his leadership and skill set. He has a great eye for the net and can play the game at speed which is a huge upside for his game.

Again, he's another player who had offers from other teams so I'm very happy he's committed to the Hornets for the 2019-20 campaign.”
