Last weekend during MK Thunder v Romford Raiders, MK forward Ross Bowers was rushed to hospital after sustaining an extremely serious eye injury, as a result of being hit with a high stick. Ross was taken for emergency surgery on one of his eyes. Ross woke up to be told that can expect to only regain somewhere between 10% and 20% of the vision in his right eye.

The news has obviously come as a massive shock by everyone especially his team mates at MK Thunder and his family.

With thanks to Nicky Watt and the boys at the ‘4000 and counting’ podcast, they have set up a GoFundMe campaign which can be found online at gf.me/u/q79n3f
