Hornets Add to Coaching Team for 2018/19

The Bracknell Hornets are pleased to announce the appointment of Carl Graham to the coaching team to work alongside current Head Coach Danny Hughes. Carl re-joined the Hornets for the 2017/18 season as a player following a senior career starting back in 2000 which has seen him playing in the BNL (Slough Jets), EPIHL (Slough Jets, Wightlink Raiders, Manchester Phoenix, Bracknell Bees and Basingstoke Bison), EIHL (Manchester Phoenix), ENL (Slough Harrier Hawks and Bracknell Hornets) and NIHL (Chelmsford Chieftains and Bracknell Hornets). During that career Carl has been an EPIHL Cup and Playoff champion (2013/14), NIHL South Playoff Champion (2014/15), NIHL South Champion (2016/17) and NIHL South Second All Star Team (2017/18) Carl’s coaching career to date has seen him working with the Bracknell Queen Bees. His record with the QB’s shows them being 3rdin league and Playoff semi-finalists in 2009/10, runners up in league and Playoff Champions in 2010/11, League Champions and Playoff semi-finalists in 2011/12 and League Champions and Playoff finalists in 2012/13. As well as coaching Ice Hockey Carl is also Assistant Coach to the GB Women’s Roller Ball squad, a position he has held since 2015. Coach Danny Hughes said ‘I am pleased to have Carl working alongside me with the Hornets for the upcoming season. He has been helping out with coaching for some time now since he re-joined the club and his experience should help push us on to the next level and put in a sustained challenge in the League this coming season’ Danny and Carl have been working together to sign a squad for 2018/19 season and announcements of these signings will be made in coming weeks.
