Ben's Back to add a Sting to the Hornets Tail

We are delighted to announce that Ben Ealey-Newman has signed for his 4th season to play with the Bracknell Hornets at The Hive for this upcoming campaign.

The 22 year old joined Bracknell back in 2016 as Assistant Captain to the Hornets having played 69 games to date having put 46 pucks in the net and assisted to 38. In the 2017/18 campaign, Ben also played 18 games with the Bracknell Bees having scored 2 goals and 8 assists.

Mark Saunders Head Coach said ‘Having Ben commit to the Hornets for another season is great news for us as a team, he's a Bracknell player through and through and wasn't short of offers from teams around the league so I'm very happy he's agreed to come back to the Hornets for the 2019-20 season. He's a great guy on and off the ice, gives everything he has every time he steps out onto the ice and is highly skilled as well as also enjoying the physical side of the game too. He's another important part of building a strong team and I'm delighted he's back.’

Ben said on re-signing 'I'm really looking forward to coming back home this year to my hometown club. It’s an easy decision to make for me. I am excited for the change of the league structure and the new challenges it will bring with a new set of guys. Hopefully I can contribute on the ice, and just as importantly in the dressing room. It’s been a long summer so far so itching to get back on the ice. Until then I will keep working on scratching some shots off my golf handicap!’

Ben weighs in at 175lbs and is 5'11" tall, shoots left and plays as a forward.
